Chrome OS-- just a start
Google has published the Chrome OS to "open source" now. Chrome OS targets the cloud services, which have already been developed by Google, such as Picasa web album, gmail, youtube, etc. These are the applications make big money for Google.
Actually, Google isn't care its Chrome OS and Android OS to be "open sourced", or even modified and used by other companies. What Google care about is recruiting as many Chrome OS and Android OS users as possible. More user choosing Chrome OS, more people bind to the cloud services. And these are what Google is good at. The cloud services provided by Google are usually user friendly and very powerful.
Users of the Chrome OS will be the first group of people enjoying a brand new internet life and the first group of people purchasing services as a product installed of updating laptop/PC hardware. Because to whom spend most of the time on the internet, purchasing services is a much simpler and neater way of enjoying their life. They don't need to go to PC hardware store or purchasing a new laptop frequently. All the need to do just click the mouse and input their credit card number. On the other end of the internet, cloud will deal all the problem and life is much simpler for user and Google.
A new profit model has been built by Google and now it's coming to our life now.
